Quati Curioso Expedition

A gamified digital educational platform for use in the classroom with a focus on the early years of elementary school.

As coordinator of design, accessibility and innovation team, I worked together the team to create and develop the best experience and interface, with the aim of delivering educational content that was accessible to as many people as possible.

Distance Education Projects

Working as a design leader on distance learning projects has brought me many challenges and learnings. I've had the opportunity to work with virtual learning environments, known as "VLEs", deepen my knowledge of gamification and apply it in the search for the best learning experience.

For reasons of confidentiality, I can't give details of the projects. 😉

Flame Design System

As part of the team that designed and built Santander Brasil's Design System, my main role was to define, produce and document the animations and interactions of the components.

I also worked in partnership with product designers and developers to evolve user journeys in search of solutions that would provide a more fluid and enjoyable experience.

Motion design in my life

Before I knew it had that name, that there was a professional who did it specifically, I already wanted to "make the letters, objects and characters move like in the commercials".

At the bachelor's degree in graphic design I got to know several other areas that I also fell in love with, but motion graphics or just motion or motion design always had a bigger place in my heart, which led me to work with the production of animated videos from the very beginning of my career. In recent years I've specialized and worked with what we call UX/UI motion design, which is the application of movement on digital platforms to improve the user experience.

Motion graphics

In this reel you can see a compilation of the latest projects I've worked on as a motion graphics designer. In most of the projects, in addition to the animation, I was also responsible for the visual composition, working on some of them together with illustrators.

To see the videos in full, you can access my profile on the Vimeo platform.

UX/UI motion

My experience with applying motion to users' journeys was very significant and brought me a lot of learning. I was able to experience in practice the improvement of the user experience with the application of movements, animations and/or microinteractions which, even though they seemed simple, added a lot to the user journey.

The "Flame Design System" project covers most of my work in this area.

MicroInteracao-SearchBar

Clicking on the magnifying glass icon triggers the search field, which appears from a motion, providing a different experience for the user. Clicking on the "x" also closes the field.

MicroInteracao-list-action

Motion that happens at the moment of user interaction, to complement and reinforce the understanding of the action that will be applied when dragging the list item to the left.

Global loader: scalable, customizable and accessible

As part of Santander's UX team, I had the opportunity to create the bank's new loader to be used by all countries in their apps and digital platforms. This project was part of a global challenge in which my proposal was the winner.

How I became a leader

I thought I could never be a leader of people because I didn't have the patience. However, when I was 23, I had an accidental leadership experience and surprised myself positively.

At that moment, I realized that one day, I would like to be in that position, not by accident, but with purpose. And, mirroring every incredible person I've had the honor of being as my leader, now, I try to be a little bit of what they were to me.

It's the practice that really teaches, but I've done some training with the aim of finding my best version as a leader

Depoimentos

Regina is an amazing UX motion designer. She is very creative, detail oriented, always has new ideas, and is very collaborative. She is always willing to share with others everything she knows and contribute to projects with her work and knowledge. She does amazing work! I love working with her.

Tamara Freire Toledo

Global Design System Lead at Santander Bank

I have worked with Regina on different projects and from the very beginning I started dealing with her I was surprised by her willingness to proactively get involved in new initiatives, even when they were not part of her goals or daily tasks. The reason is simple: Regina is hungry to grow and know more, broaden her perspective and always shows a sincere interest in everything that surrounds her even when is not part of her mission. Moreover, Regina has demonstrated extraordinary skills in her performance making her an extremely valuable asset to any team.

Nacho García Gutiérrez

Global UI and Visual Design Leader at Santander Bank

When you learn something, you take it with you for life. In this case, I learned a lot from Regina and I take it with me into my career. I remember moments during my first internship and how you were literally by my side the whole time. It was all very new to me, but your presence was fundamental to making everything easier. I'm very grateful for your patience, partnership and willingness to teach. I had the privilege of having an example of a work colleague who became a friend for life in my very first internship.
