The Quati Curioso Expedition project focuses on the early years of elementary school. It consists of specific digital platforms for each target audience<\/strong> (students, teachers and guardians). Its aim is to be used in the classroom, improving learning with videos, games, digital and printed material, taking care to make the experience accessible to as many people as possible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t

As Design, Accessibility and Innovation coordinator<\/strong>, I mentored and worked alongside two UX\/UI designers and a full-stack developer<\/strong>. Our team was responsible for creating and developing the online platforms, as well as some communication materials.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tDiscover, deepen and plan\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

In order to define the project's priorities, we felt the need to understand the personas involved<\/strong>. As a result, we identified that educators and students were our main clients, with the former being the users with the power to influence and make decisions, and therefore the most important of all.<\/p>\n

Based on this, we decided to start the project with the teacher's platform. We also realized the need to get closer to this audience in order to understand their real needs and deliver a platform that really adds to their day-to-day lives. To this end, a low-fidelity prototype was created so that we could start talking to educators and see if we were on the right track<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Processo-Personas\"\n\t\t\t\t\"ProtBaixa\"\n\t

As a complex project, with different target audiences, a lot of interactivity between platforms and a lean budget and team, planning and organizing the stages was essential for the team to be able to achieve its goals and deliver with quality and consistency.<\/p>\n\t

In order to correctly visualize the structure of the platforms, sitemaps<\/strong> were created for each one, and it was also necessary to prioritize screens and functionalities by version<\/strong>. In this way, it was possible to understand how to deliver the best experience according to the project's needs.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Processo-Estudantes\"\n

\n\t\tAccessibility and inclusion\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

Since the beginning of the project, inclusion has been part of the brand's values<\/strong>. With this in mind, we have worked to ensure that the digital platforms have educational content that is accessible to the widest possible range of people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Part of this effort was to map out and deepen the research into the most well-known conditions, including visiting, for example, a Bilingual Education for the Deaf school to talk to educators and understand in practice what day-to-day life is like in the classroom.<\/p>\n

In this way, it was possible to map out users' needs beyond the features that we considered basic<\/strong> and were already provided for in the platform, such as: color contrast, font size, screen reader, contrast between colors, Libras, audio description, subtitles, among others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"\"\n

\n\t\tThe educational platforms\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

The mapping of the project showed us the need to have a digital platform for each target audience, as well as a CMS to feed the content to be made available.<\/p>\n

The platforms for the 3 adult audiences<\/strong> (educators, parents\/guardians and maintainers) have a dashboard<\/strong> with a very similar look, basically changing colors and functionalities, and the student platform is fully illustrated, gamified and interactive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
